The Firewire MachadoCado surfboard was designed by the iconic surfer Rob Machado. Inspired by the outline of an avocado and fused with the DNA of a fish, this board offers the performance of a shortboard with unique versatility. With the Machadocado, you'll enjoy waves you never would have considered before.

Ideal for both experienced and intermediate surfers, this model excels in small waves, but its design also allows impressive control in more powerful waves. Its extra width and greater thickness compared to a traditional shortboard provide stability and ease in challenging conditions. However, its thinned tail provides superior control in faster and rounder sections.

Its three-fin (Thruster) configuration adapts to your preferences: you can use it as a Twin fin or a Thruster for different sensations on the water.

Rob was inspired by his favorite fruit, the avocado, to create this model. The wide, short outline offers speed and control, imitating the rounded shape of the avocado. The board is designed to generate speed in small waves and offer good performance in more powerful waves, thanks to meticulously refined thickness distribution.

Built with Helium technology, the Machadocado features wooden rails that provide control and excellent handling in critical sections. Rob says this is his most versatile shape, perfect for waves from knee-high to overhead and adaptable in any condition.

HE (Helium) Epoxy Construction:

Firewire's HELIUM construction is comprised of an incredibly lightweight EPS foam core, weighing in at just 0.8lb density, along with a balsa and paulownia wood edge. The epoxy sandwich offers incredible durability and weight.
