The Channel Island CI Log is a finely tuned traditional longboard, resulting from a long collaboration between surfer Devon Howard and master craftsman Wayne Rich. Their goal was clear: to create the best traditional longboard ever, dedicating much of their research and development phase to improving the slow-turning characteristics that classic longboard designs are known for.

Staying true to the traditional style, the CI Log has no sharp rails in the tail, which not only preserves authenticity but also provides exceptional control and hold while nose riding. To counteract the drag tendency that soft-railed boards often have, Wayne incorporated a special rail and bottom contour combination that adds more drive, sensitivity, and confidence in turns, surpassing any other traditional longboard in terms of maneuverability.

The overall performance of the CI Log is enhanced by its wide outline just behind the midpoint, and its more streamlined nose allows for easier and more controlled movement in tighter sections of the wave. Whether you're riding a perfect point break or a weaker beach break, the CI Log is incredibly versatile and offers extra speed both from the tail and the center trim zones.

Available in sizes ranging from 9'0 to 10'0, the CI Log comes in five sizes. You can choose between a clear finish or a high-quality colorful resin (with 6+6 oz. decks and 6 oz. bottoms), both with a satin-sanded gloss resin finish. In addition, Channel Island has designed a custom single fin specifically for this board, which not only offers more fluidity in critical turns but also provides enough tip area for maximum lift and hold when you're perched high on the nose in critical sections.
