The Channel Island M23 surfboard is the modern evolution of the acclaimed M13 line, a hybrid created by Al Merrick, who has surfed it for decades in various conditions, from the fun waves of Rincon to the challenging peaks of Sunset. This high-performance surfboard is designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of surfers, regardless of their size and style, and it adapts perfectly to various wave conditions.
Unlike the CI Mid, the M23 offers more volume, with fuller rails and a slightly sleeker nose, improving buoyancy and stability. This combination allows the board to excel in paddling performance while maintaining the agility and maneuverability typical of a shortboard.
The M23 is available in its standard round pin configuration, with the most common sizes ranging from 6'8" to 7'10", making it a versatile and accessible option for surfers of all levels looking to maximize their experience in the water. With the M23, you'll enjoy high-performance surfing without sacrificing comfort or ease of use.
PU Construction:
Channel Island surfboards are made by Al Merrick in the Olatu factory, in the Basque country. Olatu owns the brand Pukas and builds for two big ones: Lost and Al Merrick. Polyurethane foam core, Silmar polyester resin and Hexcel fiberglass. Great finishing and exceptional expertise.
