Soft Top surfboards are surfboards made with fiberglass and epoxy resin, but finished with PE or EVA foam. They are an evolution of Softboard surfboards, aiming to create a durable and rigid surfboard while providing the safety of a Softboard.
At first glance, they are boards very similar to a softboard, since they have the same soft polyethylene material on the deck. With the naked eye or in a photo, it will hardly be differentiated, but if you touch one, you will see how, under the soft layer, it is harder due to the fiberglass material that covers the foam. They are really hard fiberglass boards, but covered by a layer of soft foam.
