- Deck: the upper part of the surfboard.
- Bottom: la lower part of the surfboard
- Nose: the font part of the board.
- Tail: the rear part of the board.
- Glass:Action of impregnating fiberglass cloth with resin
- Gelcoat:Action of putting a layer of resin on the fiberglass.
- Outline: Shape of the surfboard seen from above
- Rocker: Profile view of the surfboard
- Foam: the core of the surfboard
- Stinger: Wood layer placed in the middle of the foam
- Template: Usually represent half of the board, used to draw the outline in the foam.
