Most premium surfboards brands only build their boards with the new FCSII fin plugs, which allow the installation and removal of fins without tools.

But if you want to install regular Dual-Tab fins, you can do it, and in this article we will explain how.

You will only need for this the FCS Infill Kit. Other brands such as Shapers also propose this type of FCSII adapters. The FCSII plugs are wider, so if you put a Dual-Tab fin, you will see how a gap remains.

The infill kit contains 5 pieces of silicone, designed to fill this gap, as well as 10 screws and an Allen key to maintain the fins to the board.

Place a piece of silicone in the front hole of a fin plug. Then insert the Dual-Tab fin into the plug. Place the screws, two per plug, and tighten as with the classic round plugs.

Repeat this operation with all the fins, and you will have your usual dual tab fin on your new surfboard with FCSII system.
