We will need for this operation base wax, cool or warm wax depending of the temperature of the water where we used to surf, and a wax comb.
We first apply the base wax. This wax is pretty hard, as it’s used as a basis for the cool or warm wax, to give it a better grip.
We apply the wax in the tail area, or just in front of the traction pad in our case, and in the middle of the surfboard, where you put your frontfoot, by making small circles.

Cool wax should be applied for water between 16 and 20 degrees, and warm wax for water between 20 and 25 degrees. Use cold wax for water below 15 degrees.
In the same way than with the base wax, we make small circles in the feet areas.
The last operation is to scratch the wax to get more grip.
For this, we use the wax comb to draw small squares on the wax layer
