The Sub Scorcher-STING is a surfboard that combines a relaxed rocker with a conservative outline and increased volume, designed to offer an easy and fun surfing experience. Initially popularized by talented surfer Kolohe Andino, the original version of the Sub Scorcher became a breakout hit. Its mellow rocker and wide, stable outline allow for easy paddling and effortless gliding, making it one of the best choices for those seeking a modern board.
Building on the original swallow tail shape of the Sub Scorcher, the STING design was introduced, adding a bit of width through the center and increased rocker in the rails, along with an area reduction at the tail, starting about 18 inches from the back. This sharp reduction in width makes quick, radical turns easier in tight sections and on the open face of the waves. With generous dimensions and good volume, the SUB SCORCHER-STING is a playful performance board accessible to all, perfect for initiating radical maneuvers with ease.
Light Speed Epoxy Construction:
LightSpeed is a patented surfboard construction by LOST that utilizes lightweight EPS foam and high-strength epoxy resin. It combines Rapid-Reflex carbon fiber and Innegra fibers, which dampen vibrations, with fine fiberglass cloth.
Reinforcement patches at the tail transfer energy more effectively to the rails. Additionally, it features carbon-aligned “Exo-Stringers” that allow for natural torsional twist and quicker response. The combination of Innegra fiberglass and other materials increases the strength and lightness of the boards.
LOST boards are manufactured in the Basque Country by Olatu, the owner of the Pukas brand, which also produces for the prestigious Al Merrick Channel Island brand.
