The Firewire Seaside surfboard is now available with Volcanic technology, allowing the board to have more flexibility for a natural feel underfoot.
In terms of design, it is an evolution of the Firewire Go Fish. Rob Machado wanted something more high-performance, a board capable of making tighter turns.
That's what he achieved with the Seaside, with small changes in the shape: a narrower tail, a rounder and narrower nose.
Available in quad configuration, in 12 sizes, from 5'2'' to 6'1''.
Volcanic Epoxy Construction:
The Volcanic construction uses basalt fibers extruded from crushed and melted volcanic rocks. These fibers have similar characteristics to carbon in terms of strength and weight but are more environmentally friendly as they are derived from organic sources. Basalt fiber is resistant to chemicals and is used in surfboard manufacturing as well as in the aerospace industry for rockets and jet engines. It has higher resistance to high temperatures and greater elasticity than traditional carbon fiber.
