The SCI-FI 2.0 surfboard from Slater Designs is the update to one of the most popular designs in surfing.
The Firewire Slater Sci-Fi 2.0 features a wide point forward of center, which allows the design to be ridden 1” shorter than its predecessor with more volume packed into shorter length. It also has a more pulled-in tail and rocker (similar to the Cymatic) giving the design greater range than the original, while still maintaining good small wave prowess.
Available in tri-quad with FCSII or Futures Fins system, and 13 sizes available from 5'5 '' to 6'6 ''.
Ibolic Epoxy Construction:
Firewire's Ibolic construction brings together the best of the Helium and LFT constructions. The EPS foam core has a 18mm thick high-density foam stringer, and the edges have this same high-density foam, but 16mm thick. The result is a surfboard with the stiffness and strength of the LFT construction, but with the flex and reactivity of the Helium construction.
