The LOST Pocket Rocket is a high-performance surfboard, initially designed for Kolohe Andino in 2015, with the goal of excelling in the varied beach breaks of Europe. After primarily riding Driver and Sub Driver models, Kolohe requested a board with a new rocker that would "fit more in the pocket and allow me to push hard, but still keep speed in the flats." The result was the Pocket Rocket, a board with a smooth, continuous rocker that fits into the pocket, but with enough concave to gain speed down the line and connect flat sections. Additionally, its tail curve allows for tight and snappy turns while maintaining forward projection.
Updated in 2018 following positive feedback from surfers like Griffin Colapinto, Yago Dora, and Joan Duru, the Pocket Rocket includes key improvements: a slightly wider and more forgiving outline in the front, a more relaxed central rocker, defined edges and square rails in the tail, and refinements in the concave and bottom curves. The size scaling has also been adjusted, especially benefiting the "Bro" versions, making them more accessible for average surfers seeking a high-performance shortboard, with a low and smooth rail without reducing overall volume.
Since its inception, the Pocket Rocket has been adopted by numerous professional surfers and travelers, including legends like Taj Burrow and Bruce Irons, as well as rising stars like Jack Robinson and Mason Ho, who have performed impressive maneuvers in Indonesia and Hawaii with this board. Yago Dora has also made his mark with the Pocket Rocket, winning the Newcastle Pro and reaching the semi-finals of the Oi Rio Pro in 2017, where he defeated three world champions.
The Pocket Rocket has become the standard high-performance "Pro-formance" surfboard of LOST Surfboards, offering the perfect balance between maneuverability and speed for demanding surfers in all kinds of conditions.
