Pyzel Surfboards began around 1995 in a garage on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and has evolved into one of the world's leading surfboard companies today.
Jon Pyzel grew up in Santa Barbara, California, started surfing in high school and quickly fell in love with surfing.
In 1992 he moved permanently to the North Shore of Oahu, after working at Country Surfboards for a few years where he learned what it took to create his own boards.
In 1998 Alex Florence approached Jon about making a surfboard for his eldest son, John John Florence, who was 5 years old at the time. Years later he would become the 2016 world champion, widely considered one of the greatest surfers alive.
Today Pyzel Surfboards is an international company with a presence on all continents.
