The Pukas Mayflower is the perfect post-modern longboard, inspired by the late 1960s' Involvement Era. This model is a true Swiss Army knife of longboarding, combining the best of that classic era with modern touches. Designed by Axel Lorentz, the Mayflower features a voluptuous outline with a pulled-back wide point, thin and refined rails, and a natural rocker blended with a concave nose.
This longboard is highly maneuverable and designed for daily surfing in waves under six feet. Whether in point breaks, beach breaks, or summer wind swells, the Mayflower feels incredible in any situation. This board comes alive from nose to tail, surprising with noseriding in the critical pocket of the wave, even at full speed.
The Mayflower allows for powerful and controlled turns, easy redirection, and offers a perfect balance between progressive maneuverability and the classic glide of a single fin.
The origin of the name? The Mayflower was the ship that carried the first settlers from Plymouth, UK, to the East Coast of North America. Coincidentally, the final design of this board was approved during a celebration at the famous "Mayflower" restaurant in Getaria, a landmark where the creators of this board enjoyed a memorable meal. Inspired by this connection, they decided to pay homage to this special place and named their longboard: Mayflower.
This model is ideal for surfers looking for a maneuverable, versatile longboard with a touch of history, offering a balanced and thrilling experience in every session.
PU Construction:
Pukas surfboards are made in the Olatu factory, in the Basque country. Olatu owns the brand Pukas and builds for two big ones: Lost and Al Merrick. Polyurethane foam core, Silmar polyester resin and Hexcel fiberglass. Great finishing and exceptional expertise.
